Almugera Raouf Mohammed Kabar was born on 6 June 2006 in Bremen, Germany, and is of German-Libyan descent. He started his youth career with SV Hüsten 09 in 2014, joined Hammer SpVg in 2018 and signed for Borussia Dortmund's youth academy in 2019 at the age of 13.
He progressed steadily through Dortmund's age-group teams, captaining the U19 side during 2023-24 with 22 appearances, two goals and one assist. He was part of Germany's U17 World Cup-winning squad in 2023 and the U17 European Championship-winning squad in the same year.
In August 2024 he was promoted to the Dortmund first team and made his Bundesliga debut on 26 October 2024. He has continued to be involved in the senior squad, and his contract was extended through June 2028. He wears the number 42 shirt and has drawn interest from Premier League clubs including Brentford.
A left-footed left-back, Kabar combines defensive positioning, overlapping runs and ball distribution in a high-press system — exactly the profile Dortmund's modern academy curriculum is built around. He is regarded as one of Germany's most exciting young left-sided defenders.
Public information about him is still developing, and this profile will be updated as more career and biographical detail becomes confirmed from independent sources.
