Patrick Drewes was born on 4 February 1993 in Germany. He started in 1995 at TuS Heidkrug and joined VfL Wolfsburg's youth setup in 2008, before progressing into VfL Wolfsburg's third-choice goalkeeper for the 2012-13 Bundesliga season.
