Daniel Svensson was born on 14 February 2002 in Sweden and came through Helsingborgs IF's youth setup. He moved to Danish side FC Nordsjælland to develop further at the senior level, becoming one of the most exciting young left-backs in Scandinavian football.
In 2025 Borussia Dortmund signed him from Nordsjælland on a multi-year deal as a younger long-term option on the left flank, joining a back line that already included Ramy Bensebaïni and Almugera Kabar.
For Sweden he has progressed through the youth international ranks and into the senior team, with continued involvement in qualifying campaigns.
A left-footed left-back / left wing-back, Svensson combines pace, stamina and crossing — the kind of attacking-minded but defensively willing fullback Bundesliga sides increasingly demand. He is being integrated into Dortmund's senior squad with a long-term plan to inherit the starting role on the left side from Bensebaïni.
Public information about him is still developing, and this profile will be updated as more career and biographical detail becomes confirmed from independent sources.
