Elijah Dixon-Bonner was born on 1 January 2001 in Harlow, Essex, and began his footballing education at Arsenal before joining Liverpool's academy at the age of 14 in 2015. He progressed steadily through the youth ranks, captaining England at under-16 level and representing the under-17 side at the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship hosted in England.
One of the defining moments of his time at Liverpool came in the 2018–19 FA Youth Cup, when he was part of the squad that won the competition, contributing a penalty in the shootout victory over Manchester City in the final. He signed his first professional contract in February 2018 and made his senior debut for Liverpool as a late substitute in an FA Cup replay against Shrewsbury Town in February 2020. After his contract expired in June 2022, he joined Queens Park Rangers on a trial basis that October, earning a permanent deal at the Championship club.
A composed, technically capable central midfielder, Dixon-Bonner made his full league debut for QPR in November 2023 and impressed new manager Martí Cifuentes, who pointed to him as an important figure for the club's run-in that season. He signed a contract extension at Loftus Road in June 2024, though he has since gained further experience through loan spells at Swedish Superettan side Västerås SK and EFL side Morecambe. He returned to Queens Park Rangers in January 2026 before a short loan stint at National League club Wealdstone, and is currently back at QPR as part of their squad.
