Maldini Kacurri was born on 4 October 2005 in Lewisham, London, to an Albanian family originally from the city of Lezhë. He began his youth career at Fulham before moving to Arsenal's academy in 2022, where he became a regular presence at Premier League 2 level. After training with Arsenal's senior squad during the 2022–23 season, he signed his first professional contract with the club in July 2024.
Kacurri made his senior debut as a substitute in a 5–1 EFL Cup win over Bolton Wanderers on 25 September 2024, becoming the first Albanian national to represent Arsenal's first team. Loan spells at Bromley and Morecambe followed, with the latter proving particularly productive — he was named Morecambe's Player of the Month for two consecutive months in autumn 2025. He then joined League Two side Grimsby Town on a permanent basis in January 2026, signing an 18-month deal, and was named the club's Young Player of the Year for 2025–26.
A composed and physical centre-back, Kacurri is noted for his combative defending and commanding aerial presence. On the international stage, he earned his first senior cap for Albania in September 2025, starting a friendly against Gibraltar and playing the full 90 minutes in a 1–0 away win. He had previously represented Albania at under-17 and under-19 level.
Now a permanent fixture at Grimsby Town, Kacurri is building his career as a consistent League Two defender while remaining part of the Albanian national team setup.
