Santiago Mele is a Uruguayan goalkeeper born in Montevideo. A Fénix academy graduate, he debuted in 2016 before moving to Turkey with Osmanlıspor. After loan spells and a return to South America with Plaza Colonia, he played for Unión Santa Fe, Atlético Junior and Monterrey. Mele represented Uruguay at under-20 level, winning the 2017 South American U-20 Championship and reaching the U-20 World Cup semi-finals. He made his senior Uruguay debut in 2023 against South Korea and was part of the 2024 Copa América squad.
