Charles Kwame Sagoe Junior was born on 24 July 2004 in England, of Ghanaian and Liberian descent. He began his youth career at Fulham before joining Arsenal at under-12 level, progressing steadily through the club's academy ranks and featuring for the under-21 side in the EFL Trophy during the 2021–22 season.
Sagoe Jr took an early step into senior football when he was called into Arsenal's first-team squad ahead of a UEFA Champions League fixture against PSV Eindhoven in September 2023. He made his senior debut on 27 September 2023, starting in the EFL Cup against Brentford — a notable milestone for an academy product still in his teens.
A direct and pacey left winger, he has since built first-team experience through a series of loan moves. He spent the second half of the 2023–24 season at Championship side Swansea City, followed by a season-long loan at League One club Shrewsbury Town in 2024–25, returning to Arsenal in January 2025. In February 2026, he joined Swedish top-flight side Kalmar on a further season-long loan, continuing his development at senior level.
Eligible to represent England, Ghana, and Liberia internationally, Sagoe Jr declined a call-up from Liberia in October 2025. He has yet to commit to a senior international team. Arsenal retain his registration, and the ongoing loan arrangement at Kalmar reflects the club's intention to give him regular competitive minutes at a higher level.
