Enner Valencia is an Ecuadorian forward born in San Lorenzo on 4 November 1989. After emerging at Emelec, where he won the 2013 Ecuadorian Serie A and impressed in the Copa Sudamericana, he moved to Pachuca and became a Liga MX Golden Boot winner. Valencia then played in England for West Ham United and Everton, returned to Mexico with Tigres UANL, and later represented Fenerbahçe, Internacional and Pachuca. Since his Ecuador debut in 2012, he has captained the national team, played at the 2014 and 2022 World Cups, and become Ecuador's all-time leading scorer.
