Jesper Lindstrøm was born on 29 February 2000 in Hillerød, Denmark — a leap-day birthday that has become one of the more unusual footnotes of his career. He developed at FC Hillerød and Brøndby IF before joining Eintracht Frankfurt in 2021, where his pace, dribbling and versatility in wide attacking positions made him a fan favourite in a side that won the 2021-22 UEFA Europa League.
His performances in Europe for Frankfurt attracted attention from the Premier League, and Napoli signed him for a reported € 35-40 million in summer 2023. However, his spell at Napoli was difficult — limited game time under multiple managers and a loan to Everton in 2024-25 that proved mixed, with the Toffees' difficult season meaning he rarely found consistent run of games to establish himself.
Despite the club-level difficulties, Lindstrøm retained his technical qualities and the potential that had made him one of the more promising Danish wide attackers of his generation. A permanent move in summer 2025 was widely expected to provide the platform he needed to recapture his Frankfurt form.
For Denmark he debuted in 2020 and has been a squad member, gaining caps in both Euro 2024 and the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign. He offers Denmark a direct, pacey option on either flank or in behind a striker.
Standing 1.78 m, Lindstrøm is a right-footed attacker who can play across the front three, with a direct running style, good close control and the ability to create chances through individual actions. He remains one of Denmark's more exciting young attacking options when in form.
