Keisuke Goto was born on 3 June 2005 in Japan and signed with Júbilo Iwata while still a teenager. A 191cm forward with a striking combination of size, technical security and a knack for playing on the shoulder of the last defender, he scored 7 goals in 33 J2 League matches with Júbilo in 2023 — extraordinary output for a youth-team product.
In January 2024 Anderlecht in Belgium signed him on loan; he initially played for Anderlecht II in the Challenger Pro League, where he scored a combined 11 goals in 29 matches across two stints, before being promoted to the senior side. With the Anderlecht first team across 2024 he registered 7 Pro League appearances, 2 goals, plus a goal in the UEFA Europa League. In January 2025 the move was made permanent, before he was loaned to Sint-Truiden in August 2025 for guaranteed senior minutes.
The Sint-Truiden loan has unlocked his potential: in the 2025–26 Belgian Pro League season he has played 34 league matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 7 assists — making him one of the most productive young Japanese forwards in Europe.
A 191cm centre forward with the agility, technical security and goal-scoring instinct rare for a player of his size, Goto made his Japan A-team debut in 2025 and is one of the brightest long-term prospects in Japanese attacking football. He represents the future depth at the No. 9 position behind Ayase Ueda and Mao Hosoya.
