Miguel Ángel Terceros Acuña, widely known as Miguelito, was born on 25 April 2004 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. He was identified early as one of Bolivia's rare high-upside attacking talents and moved into the Santos development system in Brazil, a significant step for a Bolivian teenager because of the technical standards attached to that club's academy.
At Santos he progressed through youth and senior environments while carrying the pressure of being treated as a possible national-team game-changer. His development has been built around attacking midfield and wide roles, where he can receive between lines, attack defenders directly and shoot with confidence from central pockets.
As of May 2026 he is listed with Santos FC. He remains the most valuable and internationally watched player in this Bolivian group, and his continued club development in Brazil is central to whether Bolivia can add more individual creativity to a team usually associated with altitude, organization and defensive effort.
For Bolivia he was called into senior squads while still a teenager and became a key figure during the 2026 World Cup qualifying cycle. His goals and performances in that campaign gave the team a new attacking reference after the Marcelo Moreno era, while his presence at Copa América level marked him as the symbol of the new generation.
Around 1.77 m, Miguelito is a left-footed attacking midfielder or winger whose first touch, close control and willingness to receive under pressure make him Bolivia's most exciting creative profile. Stylistically he is compared with a younger Juan Román Riquelme in his pause and passing, though he carries more wide-player acceleration than a classic enganche.
