Born on 20 January 2005 in Spain to Gambian parents, Mahamadou Susoho Sissoho grew up between Catalonia and Bradford, England, after his family relocated when he was eleven. He began his youth football journey at Espanyol before joining the Manchester City academy in 2017, working his way up through the club's development system over the following years.
Susoho signed his first professional contract with City in July 2022 and broke into the U21 setup for the 2023–24 season. His senior debut arrived on 13 December 2023, when he came off the bench in a UEFA Champions League group stage match against Red Star Belgrade — a 3–2 away win for City. He was also part of the City squad that travelled to Saudi Arabia for the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup, a tournament the club went on to win, adding a title to his early career.
A loan move to League One club Peterborough United in August 2024 gave him his first taste of regular senior football, though a serious muscle injury disrupted his spell early on. He returned to fitness and marked his comeback by scoring his first senior goal in a 1–0 win over Wigan Athletic in January 2025, helping Peterborough claim the EFL Trophy that season. A further loan followed at Scottish Premiership side Livingston before he completed a permanent transfer to Turkish Süper Lig club Kocaelispor in January 2026.
A composed defensive midfielder with strong technical foundations, Susoho has represented both England at U16 level and Spain at U17 and U18 level. Manchester City retain ownership of his registration in name, though Kocaelispor is now his permanent home.
