Manaf Younis is an Iraqi centre-back born in Tikrit in 1996. He began with Salahaddin, where his aerial strength also saw him used as a forward, then moved to Al-Karkh and later Al-Shorta. With Al-Shorta he became part of title-winning sides in the Iraq Stars League and Iraq FA Cup. Younis made his senior Iraq debut at the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup, then became a national figure at the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup in 2023 when he scored the extra-time winner against Oman in the final.
