Nestory Irankunda is a winger born in Kigoma, Tanzania, to Burundian parents and raised in Australia. He came through Adelaide Croatia Raiders and Adelaide United, signing a scholarship contract in 2021 and becoming one of the A-League's youngest scorers. Bayern Munich agreed a transfer for him in 2023, and he later played for Bayern Munich II, Grasshopper on loan and Watford. Irankunda represented Australia at youth level, debuted for the senior team in 2024 and quickly became a World Cup qualifying scorer.
