Relebohile Mofokeng, also known from his earlier registered surname Ratomo, was born on 23 October 2004 in Sharpeville, South Africa. He came through the School of Excellence and Orlando Pirates development system, where his balance and confidence on the ball marked him out as an elite teenage attacker.
At Orlando Pirates he broke through while still very young, scoring and assisting in cup competitions and league matches. His performances in the Soweto giants' shirt made him one of the most marketable young players in South African football and brought interest from European clubs.
By 2026 he remains with Orlando Pirates, unless a major overseas move materialises, and is treated as a central part of the club's attacking future. He can play as a left winger, attacking midfielder or inside forward, and his minutes are managed with the expectation that he could become a long-term national star.
For South Africa he debuted as a teenager and scored in 2026 World Cup qualifying, a symbolic moment for the next generation of Bafana Bafana. He was included in AFCON and World Cup-cycle squads as the creative spark who could change matches from wide areas.
Standing around 1.61 m, Mofokeng is a right-footed attacker with low balance, fast feet and fearless close control. His South African reference is a young Teko Modise in terms of crowd excitement, while his dribbling profile has shades of a smaller Phil Foden when he receives between lines.
