Shahriar Moghanlou is an Iranian striker born in Zanjan in 1994. He worked his way through Iranian club football and became prominent at Paykan, where his size and scoring runs made him one of the league's notable centre-forwards. A move to Santa Clara in Portugal gave him a European spell, but his most productive domestic years came after returning to Iran with Persepolis and Sepahan. Moghanlou entered Iran's senior national-team picture in the 2020s, offering a more traditional number-nine profile behind established forwards.
