Samú Costa is a Portuguese defensive midfielder born in Aveiro in 2000. He played youth football with Beira-Mar, Gafanha, Palmeiras Braga and Braga, then made his senior breakthrough with Braga B and the first team in 2019-20. In 2020 he moved to Almería on loan, later signing permanently, and helped the club win promotion to La Liga as Segunda División champions. Mallorca signed him in 2023, where he became a regular in Spain's top flight. Costa represented Portugal at under-19, under-20 and under-21 level before making his senior debut in 2024.
