Tom van de Looi is a Dutch midfielder developed by Groningen, where he made his senior breakthrough. He later played for Brescia in Italy and Famalicao in Portugal. The son of coach Erwin van de Looi, he has represented the Netherlands at youth levels and is mainly used as a central or defensive midfielder.
