Bathusi Jurry Aubaas was born on 14 May 1995 in South Africa and took the long domestic route to the top. Rather than arriving as a teenage star, he built his reputation through work in the lower and middle layers of the PSL pyramid before TS Galaxy gave him a larger stage.
At TS Galaxy he became known as a strong, ball-winning midfielder with enough mobility to cover ground beside more creative players. His performances brought him to Mamelodi Sundowns in 2023, where the demands of possession, pressing and squad competition raised his tactical level.
By 2026 he remains with Sundowns, often used as a combative central midfielder who protects transitions and gives balance to a team full of creators. He may not always be the headline player, but his ability to win second balls and keep structure is valuable in high-stakes domestic and CAF matches.
For South Africa he entered the national group under Hugo Broos and was part of the 2023 AFCON bronze-medal squad. During the 2026 World Cup cycle he competed for midfield minutes with Teboho Mokoena, Sphephelo Sithole and others, giving the coach a physically secure option.
Standing around 1.80 m, Aubaas is a right-footed midfielder whose strengths are duels, covering runs and disciplined positioning. He resembles a PSL version of Idrissa Gueye in role, less expansive on the ball than Mokoena but useful when the midfield needs bite and balance.
