David Michael Santos Daiber was born on 10 January 2007 in Luxembourg, of Portuguese heritage, and is a Portugal youth international. He joined Bayern Munich from local club TSV Milbertshofen in 2016 at the age of nine and progressed through the FC Bayern Campus.
He made his Bayern Munich II debut on 24 February 2026, starting in a 1-0 home Regionalliga Bayern win over SpVgg Unterhaching. On 23 March 2026 he signed his first professional contract, extending until 2030, in a strong show of commitment from Bayern to a long-term project around him.
For Portugal at U19 level he has earned six caps so far, having progressed through the country's age-group setups despite his German club upbringing.
A defensive midfielder, Daiber has been described in German media as a possible long-term successor to Joshua Kimmich for his composure on the ball and reading of the game from in front of the back line.
Public information about him is still developing, and this profile will be updated as more career and biographical detail becomes confirmed from independent sources.
