Filip Pavić was born on 19 January 2010 in Freising, Germany, into a family of Croatian descent. He joined Bayern Munich's academy on 1 July 2025 with a contract through June 2029, having previously developed in German youth football.
Pavić became Bayern Munich's youngest player in UEFA Champions League history at 16 years and 58 days, debuting in the round of 16 win over Atalanta in 2025-26 — also the first ever player born in 2010 to feature in the UEFA Champions League. The achievement marked him out as a major future prospect for the club.
A youth international for Germany, he is also eligible to play for Croatia.
A 1.83 m centre-back, Pavić is a tall, modern defender who has already drawn first-team training opportunities at 15 years old and is being integrated very carefully into the senior squad as one of the most promising young defenders in European football.
Public information about him is still developing, and this profile will be updated as more career and biographical detail becomes confirmed from independent sources.
