Elias Achouri was born on 10 February 1999 to Tunisian heritage and developed in Portugal's youth football scene. He signed with Estoril in 2021 and won the Segunda Liga title in 2020–21. After loan and permanent moves through Trofense and Estoril, he moved to Viborg in Denmark in September 2022.
In July 2023 FC Copenhagen signed Achouri, where he became one of the Superliga's most productive wide attackers. The 2023–24 season produced an extraordinary 29 league matches with 4 goals and 14 assists, plus 13 UEFA Champions League appearances with a goal and 2 assists. The 2024–25 campaign brought 24 league matches with 2 goals and 5 assists, plus a goal in 11 UEFA Europa Conference League matches as Copenhagen won the Superliga title.
The 2025–26 season has been productive: 19 Superliga matches with 3 goals and 2 assists, plus 11 UEFA Champions League appearances with a goal and 2 assists.
For Tunisia, Achouri produced 2 goals in 4 matches at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and was top scorer for the Tunisian side at the tournament. He has been a Tunisia senior regular since 2023 and is a key creative attacker in the squad.
A two-footed left-sided attacker with elite ball-control, vision and the goal-scoring instinct of a creator who can also finish, Achouri is one of Tunisia's most exciting wide attackers heading into the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
