Isak Hansen-Aarøen (born 22 August 2004) is a Norwegian attacking midfielder from Tromsø who made his senior debut at just 15 years and 323 days old for Tromsø IL in the Norwegian first division, becoming the youngest player in the club's history. His early promise attracted interest from Liverpool and Everton before Manchester United brought him into their academy in August 2020.
Hansen-Aarøen progressed steadily through United's youth ranks, signing his first professional contract in August 2021 and contributing to the club's FA Youth Cup winning squad in 2021–22. He departed for German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen in February 2024, making three appearances in the second half of that season, before a loan spell at Danish Superliga club Aalborg BK. In February 2026, he signed a contract with Dutch Eredivisie side NEC, where he continues to develop his career.
A creative, attack-minded midfielder, Hansen-Aarøen is known for his technical quality and ability to play between the lines. At NEC, he has the opportunity to establish himself as a regular starter at senior club level.
On the international stage, Hansen-Aarøen has represented Norway from under-15 through to under-21 level, and notably scored a hat-trick against Slovakia in a UEFA under-16 match in February 2020. He has yet to earn a senior international cap.
