João Tomé is a Portuguese right-back born in Lisbon in 2003. He joined Benfica's academy at age eight, signed a professional contract in 2021 and made his Benfica B debut in Liga Portugal 2 in 2022. He was part of Benfica youth sides that won the UEFA Youth League and Under-20 Intercontinental Cup, and moved to Rio Ave in 2024.
