El Mehdi Benabid is a Moroccan goalkeeper born in Rabat in 1998. A FUS Rabat youth product, he began his senior career on loan at Ittihad Khemisset before returning to FUS and becoming a regular. He later played for AS FAR and Wydad AC. Benabid represented Morocco at under-20, under-23 and A' level and received senior national-team call-ups from 2022 onward. He was included in Morocco's squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and has been noted among Botola Pro goalkeepers.
