Mohamed Abdelmonem is an Egyptian centre-back born in Zagazig in 1999. He was developed by Al Ahly and had loan spells at Smouha and Future before becoming an important first-team defender. In 2024 he moved to French club Nice. Abdelmonem has represented Egypt since 2021, played at the 2021 and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, and was named in the 2021 tournament's dream team.
