Nahuel Adolfo Ferraresi Hernández was born on 19 November 1998 in San Cristóbal, Venezuela, into a football family: his father, Adolfo Ferraresi, also played professionally. He spent formative years connected to Deportivo Táchira and later developed through the City Football Group pathway, which took him to Torque in Uruguay and then into a sequence of European and South American loans.
Ferraresi's middle career was defined by breadth of experience. He played in Uruguay, Portugal and Spain, including spells with Moreirense, Porto B and Estoril, before São Paulo brought him to Brazil. At São Paulo he became part of a demanding defensive environment, learned to defend large spaces and contributed to a club culture where centre-backs are expected to build play as well as dominate duels.
By 2026 he was with Botafogo on loan from São Paulo, staying in Brazil's top flight and preserving a high competitive level. The move kept him in one of South America's strongest leagues, where his height, timing and ability to handle aerial traffic remain useful. Even when injuries have interrupted him, he has continued to be viewed as one of Venezuela's most reliable centre-back options.
For Venezuela he debuted in 2018 and has been a regular presence through Copa América and World Cup qualifying cycles. He was involved in the 2021 and 2024 Copa América groups and became especially important in the 2026 qualification campaign, where Venezuela's improved defensive structure gave the team a real platform. His national-team role is not only to stop attacks but to bring calm to a side that has often had to defend under pressure against elite CONMEBOL forwards.
Standing 1.90 m, Ferraresi is a right-footed centre-back who can also cover right-back in a back three or emergency role. He is strong in the air, composed enough to pass out and aggressive when stepping forward to intercept. His profile recalls a less expansive Nicolás Otamendi or a Venezuelan version of Diego Godín in emphasis: not flashy, but combative, positionally serious and comfortable carrying responsibility in a low or mid block.
