Oswin Reagan Appollis was born on 25 August 2001 in Cape Town, South Africa. He came through Cape football and entered the professional game through SuperSport United's wider pathway, but his rise was gradual rather than immediate, with loans and smaller platforms shaping him.
At Pretoria Callies and then Polokwane City he became a direct, dangerous wide attacker. His form at Polokwane brought him into the national squad and eventually into a move to Orlando Pirates, where the technical and emotional demands of a giant club raised his profile.
By 2026 Appollis is listed with Orlando Pirates and is one of the most exciting domestic-based attackers in the South African pool. He plays from wide areas, usually looking to attack the full-back, shoot early or slip passes into runners around the box.
For South Africa he broke into Hugo Broos' side during the AFCON and World Cup qualifying years. He was part of the attacking group around Lyle Foster, Relebohile Mofokeng and Evidence Makgopa, giving Bafana Bafana a runner who can stretch matches from the flank.
Standing around 1.72 m, Appollis is a right-footed winger/attacking midfielder with quick feet, acceleration and a fearless shooting instinct. His style has hints of Percy Tau's directness, though Appollis is more of a touchline-to-inside winger than a second striker.
