Stuart Ricardo Goss was born on 2 April 1994 in Durban, South Africa. He came through local football before making his senior name at Golden Arrows and Real Kings, where regular minutes allowed him to show the reflexes and penalty-area command that brought him into the national conversation.
His career accelerated at Bidvest Wits, a club that often served as a bridge between strong domestic performers and bigger PSL platforms. When Wits' top-flight status was sold, Goss moved into the Mamelodi Sundowns orbit, joining a goalkeeping department stacked with international-level competition.
Because Sundowns already had elite options, much of his most visible senior football came through loans, especially at SuperSport United. By 2026 he is listed with Siwelele FC, still valued as a reliable South African goalkeeper with high-level squad experience and the temperament to step in when required.
For South Africa he has mainly been a squad goalkeeper behind Ronwen Williams, Sipho Chaine and other options, but his call-ups reflect years of domestic consistency. In a national setup built around Williams' captaincy, Goss provides experienced cover rather than a developmental profile.
Standing around 1.81 m, Goss is a right-footed goalkeeper with quick reactions, a compact stance and a calm manner. He is less of a sweeping playmaker than Williams, but his traditional shot-stopping profile is comparable to many PSL-era keepers who built careers through reliability rather than spectacle.
