Vitao is a Brazilian centre-back born in Jacarezinho in 2000. He came through Palmeiras and moved to Shakhtar Donetsk in 2019, gaining European experience in Ukraine. After Russia's invasion of Ukraine disrupted the league, he returned to Brazil with Internacional and became a regular defender there. Vitao has represented Brazil at youth level, including under-17 and under-20 teams.
