Zaid Tahseen is an Iraqi centre-back born in Najaf in 2001. He began with Al-Najaf, played for Naft Al-Wasat and then became a prominent defender at Al-Talaba, where his defensive play and scoring from set pieces brought national attention. He later joined Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Pakhtakor. Tahseen captained Iraq's under-23 side to third place at the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup and Olympic qualification. He made his senior debut in 2022, won the 2023 Arabian Gulf Cup with Iraq, and was selected for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
