Maximillian Oyedele was born on 7 November 2004 in Salford, Greater Manchester, and developed through one of English football's most prestigious academies after joining Manchester United's setup at the age of eight, having previously been with Burnley. He worked his way through the youth ranks and was part of the Manchester United side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2021–22, coming off the bench in the final.
To gain senior experience, Oyedele went out on loan to National League club Altrincham in February 2023 — part of an innovative dual-training arrangement — and made enough of an impression to earn a nomination for the club's Goal of the Season award for his strike against Oldham Athletic. A further loan spell at League Two's Forest Green Rovers followed in January 2024 before he made his first permanent move, joining Polish Ekstraklasa side Legia Warsaw in August 2024, where he helped the club lift the Polish Cup in 2024–25.
A dynamic, box-to-box midfielder, Oyedele has the engine and technique to influence games in both directions. His performances at Legia quickly earned international recognition, and he made his senior debut for Poland in October 2024 against Portugal in the UEFA Nations League. Born to a Polish mother and a Nigerian-French father, he holds Polish, Nigerian, and French nationalities and had represented Poland at youth level across the under-18 through under-21 age groups.
In July 2025, French Ligue 1 club Strasbourg signed Oyedele on a five-year deal after activating a €6 million buyout clause, giving him the platform of top-flight French football to continue his development.
