Noam Fritz Emeran was born on 24 September 2002 in Paray-le-Monial, France, into a family with deep footballing roots — his father, Fritz Emeran, is a former professional who represented Rwanda internationally. Emeran began his development at FC Brussels before moving to the Entente SSG academy in 2011. He then spent time with Amiens, where his performances reportedly drew interest from clubs including Barcelona, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain. He ultimately chose to join Manchester United's academy in February 2019, signing his first professional contract with the club in November of that year.
A pacy, direct winger capable of operating across the attacking line, Emeran made an impression during United's 2023 pre-season tour when he scored against Leeds United in a friendly in Norway. Despite that promising moment, first-team opportunities at Old Trafford remained limited, and in August 2023 he made a more permanent step forward by signing a four-year contract with Dutch club FC Groningen. He was subsequently loaned to Eerste Divisie side Emmen in February 2026 to gain regular playing time.
On the international front, Emeran is eligible to represent both France and Rwanda. He made two appearances for France at under-16 level in 2017 but has yet to commit to either nation at senior level, leaving that door open as his club career continues to develop. At 22, Emeran is still in the early stages of his professional journey, and his loan spell at Emmen represents an important opportunity to build consistency.
