Ramón Sosa was born on 31 August 1999 in Maracaná, Paraguay, and began with Tembetary and River Plate Asunción before moving to Olimpia. His game was built on raw speed, fearless dribbling and repeated one-versus-one attacks.
After Olimpia he moved to Argentina with Gimnasia La Plata and then Talleres de Córdoba. At Talleres he became one of the league's most disruptive wingers, repeatedly beating defenders from the left and creating danger through acceleration.
Nottingham Forest signed him in 2024, giving him a Premier League chance, but his time in England was brief. Palmeiras brought him back to South America in 2025, and by May 2026 he was in Brazil alongside Paraguay captain Gustavo Gómez.
For Paraguay he debuted in 2022 and played at the 2024 Copa América, scoring against Costa Rica. In the 2026 cycle he became one of Gustavo Alfaro's main wide threats, useful when Paraguay needed to turn long defensive spells into sudden counters.
Standing 1.78 m, Sosa is a right-footed winger most dangerous from the left. His acceleration and dribbling volume invite comparison with Luis Díaz, while for Paraguay his role resembles the best version of Derlis González.
