Armando Broja was born on 10 September 2001 in Slough, England, to Albanian parents originally from Koplik. He began his football journey with Burnham Juniors before joining Tottenham Hotspur's academy, then moved to Chelsea at age eight, working his way up through their youth system and signing his first professional contract in February 2020.
Broja made his Chelsea debut in March 2020 as a late substitute against Everton, but his development truly accelerated through a series of loan moves. At Vitesse in 2020–21, he finished as the club's joint-top Eredivisie scorer with ten goals. A season at Southampton in 2021–22 proved even more significant — he scored his first Premier League goal against Leeds United in October 2021, becoming the first Albanian player to score in the competition. Loan spells at Fulham and Everton followed before a permanent move to Burnley for around £20 million in August 2025.
A direct, physical striker who is effective in and around the penalty area, Broja gives Burnley a combative presence in their forward line as they navigate life in the Premier League.
For Albania, Broja made his senior debut on 7 September 2020 against Lithuania in the UEFA Nations League. He has gone on to score in three consecutive internationals in the 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign and was included in Albania's 26-man squad for Euro 2024 in Germany, where he featured in two group-stage matches.
