Leonardo Lopes is a Portuguese midfielder who developed in England. He came through Peterborough United, moved to Wigan Athletic and later played for Hull City and Cercle Brugge. He joined Gent after establishing himself in Belgian football. Lopes has represented Portugal at youth level and is generally used as a central midfielder with ball-winning qualities.
