Takashi Inui is a Japanese winger born in Shiga in 1988. After early senior football with Yokohama F. Marinos and Cerezo Osaka, he moved to Germany with VfL Bochum and Eintracht Frankfurt. Inui then built a long career in Spain with Eibar, Betis and Alavés, becoming one of the most experienced Japanese outfield players in La Liga. He returned to Japan later in his career. With Japan, he played at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and scored twice in the tournament, including in the knockout-stage match against Belgium.
