Yuto Ozeki was born on 6 February 2005 in Japan. He came through Kawasaki Frontale's youth ranks and was loaned to Fukushima United in J3 in 2024, where he scored 8 goals in 33 league matches — outstanding output for a 19-year-old. He returned to Kawasaki Frontale in January 2025.
His Frontale 2025 season has been productive: 25 J1 League matches with 2 goals and 2 assists. He won the Emperor's Cup with Frontale in 2023 (as a youth squad member) and AFC Champions League Elite appearances followed in 2024.
For Japan, Ozeki was a member of the squad that won the EAFF E-1 Football Championship in 2025, playing 2 tournament matches. He represented Japan U-20 at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, U-19 at the Tournoi Maurice Revello in 2024.
A 178cm two-footed central midfielder with elite ball-control, the technical security to play between the lines and the goal-scoring instinct of an arriving box-to-box player, Ozeki is one of Japan's most exciting young midfielders. He is in the wider 2026 FIFA World Cup squad picture as a young midfielder development option.
