Ivan Smolčić is a Croatian defender born in Gospić in 2000. He developed in Rijeka's academy and made his senior breakthrough with Orijent while on loan. Returning to Rijeka, he became part of the first-team squad and played in domestic competition and European qualifying matches. In 2025 he moved to Como in Italy. Smolčić has represented Croatia at youth levels, including under-19 and under-21 football. His career has mainly been built as a right-sided defender who can also cover central defensive roles.
