Joël Veltman is a Dutch defender born in Velsen in 1992. He came through Ajax’s academy, won Eredivisie titles, and played in the 2017 UEFA Europa League final. Brighton & Hove Albion signed him in 2020, and he became a reliable Premier League defender at right-back and centre-back. Veltman made his Netherlands senior debut in 2013 and was part of the squad that finished third at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
