Masaaki Higashiguchi is a Japanese goalkeeper born in Osaka Prefecture in 1986. He played university football before beginning his professional career with Albirex Niigata, where he established himself as a J.League goalkeeper. In 2014 he joined Gamba Osaka and was part of the side that won the domestic treble of J1 League, J.League Cup and Emperor's Cup. Higashiguchi has also been called into the Japan national team, providing experienced depth in goal across multiple international cycles.
