Ander Barrenetxea Muguruza is a Spanish forward and left winger born in San Sebastián on 27 December 2001. He joined Real Sociedad from Antiguoko in 2013 and progressed quickly through the club's youth structure. In December 2018 he made his La Liga debut against Alavés, becoming the first player born in the 21st century to appear in the competition and one of Real Sociedad's youngest league players. He later played for Real Sociedad C, Real Sociedad B and the first team, remaining with the club as an attacking option from the left. Barrenetxea has represented Spain at several youth levels, reached the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship final, and made his senior Spain debut in 2026.
