Vítězslav Jaroš was born on 23 July 2001 in Příbram, Czech Republic. He began his footballing education at local club FK Příbram before moving to Slavia Prague in 2011. Six years later, aged just 15, he joined Liverpool's Academy, where he won the FA Youth Cup in 2018–19 and steadily worked his way toward the first team.
A composed, technically reliable shot-stopper, Jaroš built his senior experience through a series of loan spells. His standout early move came at St Patrick's Athletic in Ireland during 2021, where he was voted the club's Player of the Year by supporters, helping the side to a second-place league finish and winning the FAI Cup. A later loan at Austrian club Sturm Graz in 2023–24 yielded a league and cup double, and he played a part in ending Red Bull Salzburg's decade-long dominance of the Austrian Bundesliga.
Jaroš made his Liverpool first-team debut in October 2024, coming on as a substitute in a 1–0 win over Crystal Palace, and went on to earn a Premier League winner's medal for the 2024–25 title-winning season — becoming the first Czech player to win the English top-flight title since Petr Čech in 2015.
At international level, Jaroš made his senior debut for the Czech Republic on 7 June 2024 in a 7–1 friendly victory over Malta, and was included in the squad for UEFA Euro 2024.
He is currently on a season-long loan at Ajax in the Eredivisie, where he holds the number one shirt.
