Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was born on 12 February 2001 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He started at Dinamo Tbilisi in 2017, had spells at Rustavi and a loan at Lokomotiv Moscow, and joined Rubin Kazan in 2019, where he won consecutive Russian Premier League Young Player awards.
Napoli signed him in July 2022 for €10–12 million, and he was transformative: 12 goals and 10 assists in his debut season won him Serie A Most Valuable Player honours and helped Napoli capture their first Serie A title in 33 years. He also won the 2022–23 UEFA Champions League Young Player of the Season award.
In January 2025 Paris Saint-Germain signed him for around €80 million, making him the club's first Georgian player. He scored in PSG's 5–0 UEFA Champions League final win over Inter Milan on 31 May 2025 — claiming his first European Cup — and added Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the UEFA Super Cup in his debut campaign.
Kvaratskhelia captains Georgia (formally appointed 24 March 2026), helped his country qualify for UEFA Euro 2024 — their first major tournament — and reached the round of 16 there. A 1.83 m left-footed inverted left winger, he is celebrated for elite dribbling, acceleration, and creative playmaking. His habit of cutting inside to strike with his right foot has earned him nicknames including "Kvaradona" and the "Georgian Messi," with technical excellence that has placed him among the top wingers in world football.
