Anis Hadj Moussa was born on 11 February 2002 in Paris, France, to an Algerian family. He came through French youth football, including time at Torcy, Montfermeil and Lens, but his senior breakthrough required a detour through Belgium rather than an immediate Ligue 1 rise.
After spells with Olympic Charleroi and Patro Eisden, he moved on loan to Vitesse in 2024. In the Eredivisie his left-footed dribbling from the right side immediately stood out, and Feyenoord moved quickly to sign him. The transfer placed him in a far bigger arena, with European fixtures and the pressure of a Dutch title contender.
By 2026 Hadj Moussa is a Feyenoord winger, recognised for one-versus-one ability, sharp changes of direction and a willingness to take responsibility in wide areas. His development in Rotterdam has added tactical discipline to the improvisation that first made him attractive.
He made his Algeria senior debut in March 2024 against Bolivia after youth involvement with Algeria. His rise gave the national team a new left-footed right-wing option behind or alongside Riyad Mahrez. As Algeria prepared for the 2026 World Cup, Hadj Moussa represented an important succession plan on the flank.
Standing around 1.76 m, Hadj Moussa is a left-footed winger who wants to isolate defenders, cut inside and shoot or slip passes into the box. He is more direct than Mahrez and less controlling, closer stylistically to Antony in body shape and dribbling rhythm, though with a more raw, street-football unpredictability.
