João Neves is a Portuguese midfielder born in Tavira in 2004. He began with Casa Benfica Tavira and Benfica's Algarve development centre before moving into Benfica's main academy. Neves was part of the Benfica youth side that won the 2021-22 UEFA Youth League, then reached Benfica B and the first team. He helped Benfica win the 2022-23 Primeira Liga and became a regular senior midfielder before joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2024. At PSG he won domestic and European honours, including the 2024-25 Champions League. Neves made his Portugal senior debut in 2023, played at Euro 2024 and won the 2025 Nations League.
