Rômulo is a Brazilian centre-back born in Belo Horizonte in 2004. He joined Atlético Mineiro's academy in 2018, reached the first-team environment in 2021 and made his Série A debut in 2024 against Fluminense. After further first-team appearances with Atlético Mineiro, he joined Sporting CP on loan in 2025 and was initially assigned to the reserve team.
