Vinícius Júnior is a Brazilian winger born in São Gonçalo in 2000. He emerged from Flamengo's academy and agreed a move to Real Madrid while still a teenager, joining the Spanish club in 2018. At Madrid he developed into a decisive left-sided attacker, scoring in the 2022 Champions League final and helping win further domestic and European titles. Vinícius made his senior Brazil debut in 2019 and has played at the World Cup and Copa América.
