Andrew Robertson was born on 11 March 1994 in Glasgow, Scotland. He began his senior career at amateur club Queen's Park in 2012, working part-time jobs on the side while making over 40 appearances in a single season. A move to Dundee United followed in 2013, where he earned the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award and a place in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year for the 2013–14 season, before Hull City signed him for £2.85 million in July 2014.
Robertson joined Liverpool in July 2017 for a reported £8 million and has since become one of the club's most decorated players. His honours at Anfield include the 2018–19 UEFA Champions League, the 2019–20 and 2024–25 Premier League titles, the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, two EFL Cups, the FA Cup, and the FA Community Shield — completing the full set of available first-tier trophies. A pressing, attacking-minded left-back, he registered 11 league assists in 2018–19 alone and was named in the PFA Team of the Year that season.
At international level, Robertson made his full Scotland debut in May 2014 and was appointed captain in September 2018. He has led Scotland at UEFA Euro 2020 and Euro 2024, and in November 2025 captained the side to a historic 4–2 victory over Denmark that secured Scotland's first FIFA World Cup qualification since 1998. With 92 caps, he is Scotland's second-most capped men's player of all time.
At Liverpool, Robertson continues to serve as vice-captain and a key figure in the first-team squad.
