Akam Hashim, listed in some squad data as Akam Rahman, is an Iraqi centre-back and midfielder born in Erbil in 1998. He developed with Erbil SC and was promoted to the first team in 2017, then moved to Al-Shorta and later Al-Zawraa. Hashim entered the Iraq senior squad in January 2024 when he was called up for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup after Amjad Attwan withdrew injured. He made his international debut in June 2024 against Vietnam in World Cup qualifying and later scored his first Iraq goal in qualifying against Kuwait.
